Saigon nightlife — Nguyen Hue walking street in the rain

    Real Moment · Saigon

    Saigon Night Life

Saigon at night is not one scene but several, layered across a few square kilometres of District 1 and spilling along the river.

    Nguyen Hue Walking Street

The pedestrianised stretch in front of City Hall fills every evening with families, skaters, buskers and groups of friends. It is the most relaxed entry point to Saigon nightlife and is safe and welcoming for solo travellers.

    Bui Vien backpacker street

A few blocks west, Bui Vien is denser, louder and more commercial. Bars and live music spill onto the road; this is where most first-time visitors end the night, even if just to walk through once.

    Riverside and skyline

Along the Saigon River and from the rooftops of District 1, the contrast between old districts and the Thu Thiem skyline opposite is at its most visible after dark. We use this stretch as the quiet counterweight to the busier streets.
