Saigon Cu Chi Tunnels
About 70 km northwest of Saigon, the Cu Chi Tunnels remain one of the most complex underground networks of the wartime period in Vietnam. The site today is part memorial, part open-air museum, and part forest walk.

Beyond the famous tunnel crawl, the visit covers reconstructed living quarters, kitchens, traps, and the network of ventilation shafts that kept the system functioning. A local guide adds the human context that the signage alone cannot.
Why we keep this trip small
Cu Chi is best understood quietly. Smaller groups can pause longer at the parts that matter, ask harder questions, and avoid the queues that build at the main tunnel entry points by mid-morning.
Practical notes
Wear closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dusty. The forested site is humid year-round; carry water and insect repellent. The tunnel crawl is optional — guests who prefer not to enter still see the full surface circuit.
