No. Each route states the real fitness, skill, weather, and comfort requirements before you apply. Some programs are easy cultural or water-based journeys, while treks and caves need stronger footing, stamina, or confidence in water.

What happens in bad weather?

Weather is part of the expedition. Guides adjust timing, routes, cave access, water sections, trail choices, and rest stops when conditions change. Safety and local operating rules come before forcing a printed plan.

Every program is guide-led with daily briefings, conservative pacing, local coordination, and route decisions based on current conditions. Technical sections are only used when the guide team confirms they are appropriate for the group.

What if I travel solo?

Solo travelers are welcome. Groups stay small so you are not lost in a crowd, and rooming or homestay arrangements are confirmed before departure.

What gear do I need to bring?

Bring the personal items listed in the expedition details: footwear, clothing layers, medication, rain protection, and any personal camera or dry-bag needs. Specialized safety equipment is provided where the program requires it.

How physically demanding is it?

It depends on the route. The difficulty, daily hours, terrain, and fitness notes on each expedition page are written to help you choose honestly before applying.

Can I bring a non-participating partner?

Sometimes. Cultural and river programs are easier to adapt; trek, cave, and kayak routes depend on safety, permits, and support logistics. Ask us and we'll give you a straight answer.

What's the cancellation and refund policy?

A 30% deposit holds your spot. Cancel 60+ days before departure: full refund minus a small admin fee. 30–60 days: 50% refund. Under 30 days: deposit forfeited but transferable to a future expedition within 18 months. We strongly recommend travel insurance with adventure coverage.

Morning pickup in Phong Nha and transfer to the Chay River activity zone. Safety briefing, helmet and headlamp fitting, then enter the cave by zipline or kayak depending on daily operating conditions. Walk into the dark chamber with a guide, move slowly through the mud section, and experience the cave with lights off for a controlled moment of total darkness. Exit to the river for a swim, rinse, and relaxed lunch before returning to Phong Nha in the afternoon.
